State Disclosures last updated 3/30/2026
South Carolina
South Carolina does not currently have a broad omnibus consumer privacy law comparable to Texas or Tennessee. Wind River nevertheless provides this notice to describe its data practices, offers a contact channel for privacy questions, and will maintain reasonable security and disclosure practices appropriate to an insurance agency. If the website later includes features likely to be accessed by children, additional review may be needed under newer child-focused online rules.
Florida
Florida's Digital Bill of Rights is relatively narrow and is aimed primarily at very large covered businesses. Even so, Wind River posts this policy for transparency and will honor reasonable privacy inquiries. Wind River also intends to maintain reasonable security and disposal practices for customer records and personal information handled through the website or associated workflows.
Georgia
Georgia does not currently have a general consumer privacy statute in force that mirrors the broader state privacy laws adopted elsewhere. Wind River therefore uses this policy as a transparency notice and will evaluate requests concerning access, correction, or deletion on a case-by-case basis, subject to legal and operational limits.
Missouri
Missouri does not currently have a broad consumer privacy law that creates omnibus access, deletion, correction, or opt-out rights for all consumers. Wind River will still use commercially reasonable safeguards and will review privacy inquiries in good faith, consistent with insurance, security, and recordkeeping obligations.
New York
New York State Privacy Notice Supplement
For New York Residents
If you are a resident of the State of New York, Wind River Insurance maintains and protects your personal information in accordance with applicable New York law, including the Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data Security Act (“SHIELD Act”).
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the security, confidentiality, and integrity of personal information collected from New York residents. These safeguards include access controls, secure transmission methods, vendor oversight, and data retention and disposal protocols consistent with the nature and sensitivity of the information collected.
In the event of a data security incident involving personal information of a New York resident, Wind River Insurance will provide notice in accordance with applicable New York law and within required statutory timeframes. As of the current law, certain reportable breaches must be disclosed to affected New York residents within 30 days of discovery, subject to law enforcement and regulatory exceptions.
For purposes of this notice, personal information may include, where applicable, an individual’s name in combination with information such as:
If you are a New York resident and have questions regarding how your information is collected, used, stored, or protected, please contact us at connect@windriverinsurance.com.
Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania currently focuses more on sector-specific privacy and breach obligations than on a fully enacted omnibus consumer privacy statute. Wind River provides this policy for transparency, will respond to reasonable privacy inquiries, and may retain or disclose information when required by insurance, fraud-prevention, or legal obligations.
Tennessee
The Tennessee Information Protection Act may provide qualifying Tennessee consumers with rights relating to access, correction, deletion, portability, and certain opt-outs, but it applies only to businesses meeting specified thresholds. If Wind River becomes subject to that law, Tennessee residents may use the contact information in this policy to submit requests, appeal a denial, or ask how to exercise applicable rights.
Texas
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives Texas consumers rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, and certain opt-outs, but small businesses are generally exempt. If Wind River becomes subject to the Texas law, Texas residents may submit requests using the contact method listed in this policy. Any rights response remains subject to identity verification, applicable exemptions, and legal retention duties.
